The Yellow-Eyed Penguin is one of the rarest in the world, a unique species found only along the eastern coast line of the south island from Banks Peninsula, on Stewart Island, And sub Antarctic Islands.

The biggest threat to these birds are Humans, this is where the Caring people of “Yellow-Eyed Penguin Trust“ are so important to the survival of the species. The birds need separation form human intervention, with viewing only done through specially prepared hides.
